We played at the number 11 team in the nations place today and lost by 7 with the chance to win at the end... and I am ****** off we lost. That is where Coach Rhoads has our program these days. We expect to win these games and don't take moral victories anymore. I am damn excited about the future under coach with this new attitude and can't wait for the next game.

Iowa State is a very good road team.

As a Fan, it is great to be able to go on the road, watch your team and know that you have a great shot at winning.

Being at the Game Saturday, I had a blast.

I agree with you. I (and more importantly the team) no longer fear these games.

That said, we SHOULD have won this game. We played far from our best and had every chance to take it. I don't know if it's been mentioned on here, but I thought Knott and Klein played their worst game in weeks. I absolutely love both of them, but I couldn't believe how many missed tackles and missed gaps they had. Barnett did not play his best game and we were down to Woody as our only healthy back (who played fantastic by the way).

Finally despite all the other fantastic calls Rhoads/Herman made in the game, the last call on 4th down was horrible. Everyone knew Woody was getting the ball, it was time to roll the dice again and go play-action pass.

The encouraging thing is if we can compete like this on the road in the future, we will win a handful. Keep making progress and we can build to 8-9 win seasons as opposed to 5-7.

Funny--you sure seem to be taking the fact that you're ticked off as a moral victory!

Our punter is now our backup running back. He has a great average per carry. He is our new Bo Williiams running back.

It's nice to see expectations increase I guess, before CPR who would of guessed some guy here would be venting about losing to the #11 team on the road by 7 points.

No doubt about it, Danny Mac is not our coach anymore, so we don't have to worry about hearing about moral victories. On a side note, congrads Dan on winning 5 wins this year at North Texas. They haven't done that in awhile.

Can you imagine the outcry if ISU went all the way down the field and then ended the game on three incompletions? Pretty easy to criticize after the play. Also, at the end of the KU and OSU games, everyone knew that Woody was getting the ball and they couldn't stop it. If Hicks and Hammer don't get blown up, Woody gets the 1st down.

    I'm with SouthJerseyCy.

Leading up to the play I wanted something that gave JB a run/pass option. Maybe some play action.

It was the right call, he had been getting 2 yards ALL DAY, hindsight is 20-20. BUT it would have been a huge time for a play action pass, guaranteed single coverage, if it would have been incomplete we'd all be griping about how Woody would have gotten the 2 yards.

Not against KSU anyways. Really disappointing to lose such a match-up.

JB has lately shown his youth in regards to consistently making the right read.

He threw several 'wobbly' looking balls. Was it windy ??

He also has found the open guy when passing, has the abality to look to his 2nd and 3rd reciever, and doesnt lock in on one reciever. It has been a long time since ISU has had a QB that can do those things on regular basis.

I don't know if it was so much a bad call as much as it just wasn't a well executed play?

He also threw some good ones.

After JB's success running the ball in his first few starts, it seems like OU and KSU did a good job staying in their lanes and keying on him on our zone read.
