Bulls landing Mike Dunleavy jr. yawn, that is best we can do? Bull****

That actually probably is close to the best the bulls can do. They are over the luxury tax to begin with, so they only have a few exceptions they can use.

I know you hate to see it, but it is what it is, they have a great core currently. And just need to fill in role players, and have limited money and flexibility to do it.

If this is the best we can do it's going to be another long year in windy city. Right now I say we are 4th best team in east at best.

Always the pessimist.
The bulls will have probably the best defensive line up in the league available next year, with Rose, Butler, Deng, Gibson, Noah. Boozer was a great rebounder this year, and was a quality offensive player. If Rose is back he is the best scoring point guard in the league, Deng is a two time all star, Butler showed he can play in the playoffs. And Noah is a top 5 center in the league. And Gibson is a starting caliber PF for many teams. Adding a 3 point specialist is good for the Bulls, and Hinrich if healthy is a great back up point guard for this team. Get an acceptable backup center and the Bulls are poised to finish first in the East again this year, as they did the two years before Rose was out.

It will be fine Rulzzz.

More D. Howard fodder, apparently he wants Houston to get another star player to pair with him and Harden if he were to join the rockets. So, Rockets are now dangling Asik and Lin, though idk who will bite with that toxic last year each player has in their contract.

They don't have to trade them together so that will help. As long as they aren't expecting a large return for them, they shouldn't have much trouble getting someone to take them.

The issue is getting another player to sign with them. That player would likely have to take less than the max. Iguadala or Smith could be options I suppose.

The Lin and Asik contracts are ugly at this point. $5mil this year, $15mil in the final year.

But they are not completely untradeable, a team would just have to have a pretty strong need for a PG or Center.

It doesn't seem smart for them to add another star unless Dwight doesn't really want to be a focal point in the offense. I think Parsons would make a good 3rd player in addition to Dwight and Harden, and then they just need a bench scorer or two and some role players.

The Lin deal is bad. The Asik contract is not a bad one at all. He single handedly transformed the Rockets from a terrible defensive team to an average defensive team when he was on the court. Asik has a lot of value.

Dwight has no clue what he wants. He wants to be the man, but doesn't want to much responsibilty. He wants to play for a winner in a big market, but doesn't want much pressure.

LeBron-esque

Not at all. LeBron realized he needed help to win a title, he had tried to win one alone and realized he, like every superstar before him, could not do it alone. He knew exactly what he needed, that's why he picked the team that gave him the best option to win. Two titles and three eastern conference championships in three years leave little doubt that he made the right choice.

Can't link on mobile but bulls bringing back mohammed for veteran minimum.

Nazr Mohammed - C - Bulls

The Bulls and Nazr Mohammed have verbally agreed to a one-year contract at the veteran's minimum, according to CSN's Aggrey Sam.

The deal doesn't exactly shake up the FA market, but it's a solidifying move for the Bulls' frontcourt. Nazr even wound up starting 12 games for Chicago last season while Joakim Noah was hurt, averaging 7.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He isn't likely to approach those numbers in a 10-15 minute role this season.
