Mason is tearing it up right now. Hopefully he cools and MM heats up during conference play.

Idk but I love seeing montes minutes being at a much more manageable level. Bodes well for psycotica de marzo.

On the season he's averaging 14.9 PPG, 5.7 APG, 5.1 RPB, and 1.1 turnovers per game. Pretty good numbers

Monte should be on it over Josh Jackson for sure. Jackson is good but he has games were he complete disappears and is always in foul trouble.

I agree. Also, Monte isn't a criminal so he has that going for him over Jackson.

High Profile freshman will always be put on this list before deserving seniors. It is what it is.

Yeah, that is a joke. Like almost every high profile award, the perceived success of the team matters (disproportionately). If three of those close losses had been wins, Monte is on there.

Number of Big 12 games scoring less than 15 points:

    Josh Jackson: 2
    Monte Morris: 6

Morris is the epitome of inconsistency. Six Big 12 games with 19+ points and less than 15 points in the other six. Never know if you'll get 22 or 12 from Monte.

I hope Morris won a trophy for Player of the Game but I didn't think that's what we were talking about here.
