I think just 12 hours ago they said it was mostly going to be SE of Des Moines. Now they are saying slightly north. It will probably be on track for west of here tonight.
It will be overhyped and not happen, just like usual
As of right now, the models are looking good, but a long ways to go. Couple of weeks ago, the models were showing the same thing until the storm track shifted to the north.

Looks like snow totals are already a lot further north than this AM.
I live in crapids which is along hwy 30 in eastern Iowa. Say it isn't soooo.I would say around 3-4" at this point with more along hwy 30 in eastern Iowa. You could get into amounts in the 8" range in some of those areas.
Des Moines, at this juncture, looks like it may be right on the changeover line at first, which could mean some rain and a glass ceiling on totals.
