Michigan Basketball: Early Takeaways from Start of Wolverines' 2013-14 Season | Bleacher Report
I like the thought of Kane matching up against a freshman.
With how good they were last year, 5-5 on the road and a younger team this year is a plus for us.
Can it be Sunday, now?
This. Walton is really good though and better than Morris but Kane is a grown man, you gotta like that.
I feel like they were a bit snarky and undermining ISU in the two paragraph's about them. Bleacher Report seems to hate us, anyway. They're also a bunch of idiots who don't know basketball.
Agreed. My take is that they see ISU as a step above a directional school, but certainly not BIG10 caliber, which is fine. I think the U of M is going to get a bit of a surprise come Sunday afternoon.
Bleacher report is a crowd-sourcing website. You're not going to find a lot of "random Joe's" that know squat about ISU.
That's not what the Mr. Michigan voters thought.
I am getting the feeling that Michigan fans (and team?) look at us just like Notre Dame looked at us in the tourney. I like it.
They beat us up @ their place by 10 (66-76) back in '11-'12. I think they feel it will be about the same.
I like the fact that this team has failed to put together two decent halves in one game. ISU could get out to a big lead, or if they don't they can certainly have hope that Michigan will have problems keep their foot on the gas the whole game.
I wonder who guards stauskas that kid scares me more than any other
I know, but Walton was much more sought after recruit and he was the star on their AAU team, not Monte.
Noticed the comments on the bottom of the page- someone asked if McGary was going to play and they guy that wrote the article said that he was unlikely to play and would probably return when they go to Puerto Rico (21st).
I think this is a huge matchup for our boys...maybe Naz for his defense? Him and GRIII are the one's I'm most scared about.
Hogue or NazzyJ
My order would be
6. Whatever post. Their posts are not really offensive threats. GR3 has yet to prove he can create anything on his own.
Defending the pick and roll with Stauskas and Lavert will be the whole key.
True. Bleacher Report has an Iowa State section, but the last 2 articles written were about CFH extending and Royce declaring for the draft.
Good point on #6. GRIII is playing the 3 instead of the 4 now and he's struggling to adjust.
