On friday night St. Thomas played BV west and two future Big 12 players went head to head. St Thomas ended up losing but Mann scored 26 points and held Tech's recruit Lewandowski to just 9 points. This is a good look at what Mann can do against another player that is headed to a Big 12 school. Both are post players and played head to head most of the game.

    BV WEST 59
    ST. THOMAS AQUINAS 52
    BV West (10-6): Besler 31, Ubel 2, O’Flynn 7, French 0, Boan 6, Copp 4, R. Lewandowski 9. Totals 20 11-14 59.
    St. Thomas Aquinas (9-7): Specht 3, Rzeszut 0, Henry 8, Keith 0, Reed 0, Mann 26, Horning 0, McCullough 7, Z. Borquin 4, B. Borquin 4, Sweeney 0. Totals 17 17-24 52.

He does play in a really small and crappy conference.

Haha, and that conference doesn't have the Rush', Beasleys, Chalmers, and Augustines that the big 12 has.

We are doing an "injustice" to Mann by reporting his stats. We need to quit postulating his greatness.

I believe there was a player from French Lick Indiana that was pretty good.

Touche. Nothing good will ever come out of Fremont.

He sounds like he could be a pretty good player that eats up space in the paint.

I am hoping he can pick up some of the slack down low next year when Jiri is gone

If this keeps up, we'll be stuck with recruiting guys from some place like French Lick, Indiana.

Any one can score 25 in a game if they play in KC. :biglaugh:

Thanks for a good update. Just remember McD cannot recurit, and he lacks the abality to see talent in a player earily. :biglaugh:

Careful what you say about Fremont. We may be small. but we had a D-1 recruit living here. Sorry does not count because it is not Chicago. Oops GMac did not find anyone in Chicago worth offering.

I think Mann could turn out to be a lot like Damion Staple, who does all the dirty work, but doesn't score a whole lot. I think he will be better than Staple though, and able to shoot free throws.
