My best friend was killed last week near storm lake in an head on collision. He was driving a semi and had just dropped of his load. On his way back to Humboldt a car with two 15 year olds stopped at a stop sign, and then pulled out without checking for oncoming traffic. The semi hit them, rebounded off anouther car and then hit him straight on. He had two sons, one daughter(my god daughter)a wife, a mother,a sister and nieces. Please pray for this family.

My buddy in the office next door to mine knew him pretty well too. Terrible circumstances, terrible outcome. Shows how easily one simple mistake can touch many lives.

Did the two 15yo's make it ok? That's got to be a lot of guilt to carry around the rest of your life.

The driver had a concusion and the other kid had a few broken bones. The older couple in the other car were life flighted out and I do'nt know how they are doing. The driver of the other semi was in the hospital for a day and released. I hear he is very distraught over what happened.

Life is so fragile. I will be sure to offer up a prayer. Hang in there.

While I'm late in responding I'm sorry for the OP's loss. I found out this week a former high school classmate I was close with passed away. He was married to a girl who was also in our class and they have a son who is a year old. Tomorrow when ISU is hosting a top ten team I'll be saying goodbye to a friend. We were class of 1999 so he was only 30.
