Every time I see this thread my mind automatically goes to:
Our black gold could pay for it. Just mark up pickup registration by 10% and voila...shot clocks.
"Hi! I'm Tyreke Locure. You may remember me from the North High basketball team and such events as the 2017 Boys State Tournament."
Yeah he definitely forced some things... a few of those turnovers came in the opening minutes which I'm sure can be pinned on jitters. The crowd was absolutely huge for an opening round game. Lots of adrenaline. However he probably had to force some things. His team depends largely on him in all categories besides rebounding pretty much. For a sophomore in his first state game in that atmosphere, I was impressed largely.
First, I was impressed by Tyreke's comments, and not being brought into the red-white-and blue controversy of the Valley game.
Second, if Phil Forte can make a D1 college career out of his height and limited athleticism, I think that Tyreke could as well.
If Tyreke has an elite 3P shot, then good comparison and we should offer NOW!!
Or if one of his teammates becomes Marcus Smart and you're forced to take the package deal like OSU was.
Have we ever landed a great package duo from Iowa?
Forte was pretty highly recruited as well.
Meh, he was a pretty mid range 3 star and the way OSU recruits they could have done better. He turned out okay though.
Good stuff here. Says Iowa is recruiting him the hardest.
Kinda disappointing that he claims they've had him for more unofficial visits. I mean, if they're unofficial and DesMoines to Ames is a hop and a jump, then why not here? Having said that, we don't know what our evaluation level of him is. Obviously he has tons of confidence in himself, but I suppose most do.
Have to believe with him playing for MOKAN that he'll get all kinds of exposure... If he plays the way he's capable of, he'll get those looks from other Big 12/BIG programs that he was wanting. I like that he mentions our style of play and his fondness of it.
Yeah, I'd say being a four year starter all on teams that went to the NCAA tournament is pretty alright. The 300+ 3s isn't all that bad.
Don't doubt the talent, just wonder how a guard w/ his size would fit in Prohm's defensive scheme.
He doesn't have a spot for a guy that press almost anyone and get steals?
I'm more worried if he's got a good enough shot to be effective on offense.
I agree with this quickness can hide size deficieny on defense better than it can on offense.
He's a sophomore no? He has two whole years to grow.
