You do. Pat has only troubled himself to wrestle four.

    They were all D1 matches.

Were any of the guys he wrestled at Harold Nichols Open wrestling "unattached"? If they were, I don't believe those matches "count" for either wrestler.

Ah, good call. So there are only four D1 matches at 184. Unbelievable...what happened to this season? SMH

Unattached matches count. The opponent just has to be on a D-1 roster. The only thing they don't count for is for the unattached wrestlers "official" career record.

Which is why Cael Sanderson has no losses on his record, but Paul Jenn has a 6-4 win over Cael on his.

Knew one of you college gurus would be able to clarify that. I knew about Cael's loss in his redshirt year, and I guess that's why I thought it wouldn't count for either guy. Didn't realize they still counted it as a win for his opponent (I also was fairly new to wrestling back then).

    From the NCAA site:

"In order to be eligible for the rankings, wrestlers must have participated in at least five matches against Division I opponents in the weight class and have wrestled within the last 30 days."

Oh well...same as last year...no ranking or seed. Doesn't really matter, anyway. Have to beat em all to win it.

Hard to win anything when you are suspended.
