Just finished two fantasy football drafts. Berrian went fairly high compared to his pre-draft rank which makes sense now that Sydney Rice is out for a while. Also hearing that Harvin is undetermined when he will be back to practicing/playing while they figure out his head issues.

With the signing of Jevon Walker who has been fantasy dead for 3 years... is he worth a look from the free agency pool? The last two WR I took in one league are Derick Mason and Laurent Robinson. In the other league I also nabbed Robinson as my last pick, with Jason Snelling (RB) as the previous pick.

What does everyone think about Walker's potential use and performance over the first 4 to 8 games of the season?

I'd take a look at him. Favre didn't have much of a raport with Berrian last year and somebody has to replace all the passes Rice & Harvin got.

I think it's worth a shot. I don't think you'll lose out on anything by dropping one of your late picks.

I drafted last weekend and decided to pick up Berrian in the last round (14th), so I'm feeling pretty good about that pick right now.

Favre has proven over time he can get the ball to most people.

He's a high-risk, high-reward player. With options #1 and #3 questionable in Minnesota he automatically becomes a valuable receiver.

BUT with 500 receiving yards and 1 TD over the past 3 years and this schedule:
    Week 5- @ Jets
    Week 6 - Cowboys
    Week 7 - @ Packers
    Week 8 - @ Patriots

I would think there would be a more reliable option out there.

I know the local media is gonna blow him up, so I was trying to jump the gun a bit. However, I like Laurent Robinson a lot as the Rams #1 receiver (if he can stay healthy).

Walker likely just slid down a spot with the trade for Camarillo. Keep in mind that Barrian should start out healthy as opposed to last year when he was dinged up and didn't really get in a grove with Favre until the NFC championship game (9 catches for 102 yds). Harvin is also back at practice today and is likely to move outside to Rice's spot.

Walker could surprise if his speed is actually back like he claims that it is or he could spend most of his time on the sideline as a 4th option. This could be a hit or miss situation as the top 3 guys all have a history of injury problems.

I'm going to try to pick him up but not play him for a while until I see what he can do. Can't hurt.

with the trade for Camarillo today, I think I'll hold with Laurent Robinson. Walker moving down.

I have Favre in my keeper league. Not sure what to do. I can retain him in the eight round so I will probably try and draft Walker late.
