And if so, is it shown in eastern Iowa?

It's on WOI 5 out of Des Moines Sunday nights, at 10:35 pm. I think Mediacom connections is a rebroadcast at later time.

Sigh. Of course it's on WOI. And of course, I have Dish.

I think (hope) it'll be archived on cyclones.com later.

it is listed to be on thursday here in cedar rapids on the connections channel. It will also be on the same channel that broadcast the game last week Fox college sports central.

You can get WOI for free with an antenna. And since you only live about 10 miles from the broadcast tower, a well-bent coathanger is about all the antenna you'll need.

I had a DirecTv guy say that you can pick up local HD channels by sticking a paper clip in the antenna port.

It's true. I get local channels via an antenna -- not a paper clip, but close -- plugged into the satellite receiver's antenna port. Comes in handy to watch local TV & weather when a storm knocks out the satellite reception.

Dish Network folks, get a rabbit ears aerial , go to menu and program to find local channels, after that you should be able to get channel 5-1 just fine, my experience.
