I am looking at the play by play on ESPN. ESPN has Purdue winning with a few seconds to go and Iowa a missing shot, then overtime starts with Purdue up by 1. Does someone know what really happened?

I believe, in an unprecedented move, the officials allowed the game to go into OT even though one team had more points than the other.

This was one we needed them to lose.

I don't think we needed them to do anything

In fact, Iowa athletics can cease to exist and I'll be just fine with that

    Thank in advance, Barta

The game was actually played in Lawrence KS. Purdue scored the extra point between the end of regulation play and the beginning of overtime, while the commercials were running. After conferring with the official scorers table, the refs concluded the points could not be taken off the board.

I looked at the same thing last night. theplay by play on ESPN showed Purdue up by one with :01 left. Oh well, as long as the outcome was correct. (HAWKS LOSE!!) I approve.
