Anyone else see it? BRUTAL. Broken Jaw. Dude's going to need some serious face reconfiguration after that one. (quick note, I don't normally care about either the steelers or the bengals but have some serious fantasy football implications on this game).

Wow, saw the hit, the blood, and the gauze. Heard them call it a "dental" injury but broken jaw (and prob teeth the way it looked) dang

It was vicious. No reason to make an impact that brutal with the crown of the helmet

Hope the punter is ok. In all probability there will be a hefty fine

    Who takes out a punter?

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this thread title was, "Is the Bengals punter a female and is she hot?"

Everyone wants a free shot at
    a) Kickers
    b) Punters
    c) Quarterbacks
when they get a chance because they're normally protected from being hit.

Free shot, sure. Taking him out completely seems a bit much.

I hate kickers and all, but they don't need that.

I feel like Goodell would fine James Harrison for the hit. :jimlad:

Led to a touchdown. Don't think the intent was to injure, but without that hit it probably takes 6 off the board.

Didn't look like he led with the crown of the helmet to me, looked like a legal block. The punter is on the field with pads on, he's fair game like everyone else.

Not sure the punter was going to stop him.

Which is why you eliminate the uncertainty by putting him on his ***.

Except that he went very high. I didn't see this live so I don't know if a flag was thrown or not. It's not the worst hit ever but I would definitely expect a fine to be coming.

You do but he could easily plant his shoulder pad into the guys chest and do the same instead of running his helmet up underneath his facemask couldn't you?
