That is my official prediction.
You think JP can go back on his word?
Yeah but Phillips is good. hahaha
That is more likely than I would have admitted a few minutes ago.
Nope, wont happen. The only way he's gone is if he resigns which right now I put at a 10% chance. If he is going to do that he better get on the giddy up because we are already behind on coaching searches.
I am praying for aliens to abduct Greg and deliver us from this nightmare.
I think critical mass has been reached.
Even JP has got to request a confidential meeting with Ham and Buckley. If I was the university president, I would demand that he do it.
If I was university pres, I'd have JP in my office asking some tough questions.
The only way that happens is if the decision comes directly from Geoffrey. Pollard is too stubborn to admit he was wrong and reverse his decision.
Why would he leave now? He has even more excuses now as to why he won't win. Plus, he will be making a base of $850,000. Why the hell would he leave now?
Interesting prediction. I cant see JP going back on his word. That just wont happen. Not after the tone of his apology letter.
Maybe he will "insist" GMac resign behind closed doors. I dont know tho......
Just a prediction. What's our lowest season ticket sales since Orr was hired?
Someone please start passing the hat. I wish I had an extra 2.5 million this year.
Its either going to be 2.5 million now.. or 2 mil next year.
How many starters is this now that GMac has lost over his 4 years? I've lost count.
Disagree. I am guessing McDermott/Pollard already knew these transfers were going to happen -- or at least believed there was a strong possibility. Pollard already knew this when he gave his vote of confidence. What this announcement tells me is that Pollard knows the athletic department can not afford a buy out and he wanted to get out in front of this as much as possible. Try to make people believe that this was about a belief McDermott could get the job done, rather than a total screw up on his part in terms of the contract and its length.
Everyone knew Buckley was gone but Hamilton blind-sided me. Maybe my reaction is knee-jerk but I see no reason to keep Mac. Money is the only reason but probably is enough.
This is so true. It's not as if the financial burden gets a lot lighter after next year. And who knows about the revenue losses between now and then?
Critical mass was already reached when it became obvious that we wouldnt even qualify for the NIT. Whether anyone wants to admit that or not.
Maybe they knew but the fans (bill payers) didn't. The fans will speak.
