Looks like they don't care... reiterating the point that at those schools, Barnes would be just another pretty face... at ISU he would be immortal.

    You have no idea.

He's being recruited by the big boys. Nobody should be shocked he's checking them out.

It could just be where I've been lately but HB going out of state seems to be a favorite topic of Hawks lately. At least three times I've heard in the last two days from hawk fans, "I wonder where that Barnes kid will end up, no way he stays in state" or something similar. Not exactly saying I expect him to come to ISU but if I was an odds maker I would put it someplace between 15 and 35 percent.

Isnt this is 2nd trip to Duke? Dont we have a Cyclone in the AD dept down there that wore a ISU shirt to the game and HB spotted him?

Duke and coach K have a lot of history. but this decade so far they have not been that great in regards to Tournament Results and NBA lottery picks. I think coach K's better days are behind him.

I think UNC/KU is the place to go if you want to win a championship or move to the NBA.

Or you stay in Ames and be god for 1-4 years

I wouldn't look too much into this folks. Your 17 years old, you get a call that says: "Hey Harrison, how would you like to miss a couple days of school and fly out to watch one of the best rivalry games in all sports. Yah, these tickets normally go for hundreds, we will give you a free one behind the bench...yah Dicky V. will be right there." This doesn't mean he is going to them, it just means he is a fan of basketball. If I were in his shoes they would have had me at miss 2 days of school.

If I were Harrison, I would be there. Free tickets to the game of the year, plus getting out of school? I would be there in a heartbeat.

I was ready to jump in a plane and go myself until you mentioned that Dicky V might be within earshot. I hope, for Harrison's sake, that the Cameron Crazies will be loud enough to drown Dikcy V"s drooling Duke drivel out.

This decade he's won 1 NC (should have won 2) and been to 2 final 4's. Outside of Florida, who has done better?

This decade, he's had 3 SF's go in the lottery in Shane Battier (#7 overall), Luol Deng (#7 overall), and Mike Dunleavy (#3 overall). He's had a total of 6 lottery picks since '01 (the 3 mentioned + Redick, J. Williams, and S. Williams). Again, who's done better?

Also, of the 3 schools, Duke looks to be the best positioned team for HB's freshman year. They'll have a veteran back court, a ton of depth, a possible AA candidate should Kyle Singler still be around, and a nice wide open spot at the 3.
