Assuming they didn't give up anything of importance, that's a nice pick up.

Considering the Sox search for bullpen help, not sure how he got past them in waivers.

It's for a player to be named. Nicely done Twins.

Because Sale has been fantastic, Thornton will be back in a few days, and there's no need for three lefties. The bullpen has been a strength all year. Just hit a rough spot with Putz and Thornton banged up.

Would rather have a decent starter than more bullpen help.

You won't be able to get much in return until he comes back and proves himself again. He's an aging closer, and now has elbow surgery on his record.

Never know how the next month will play out. If Capps struggles you'll see them swap spots. If he does well down the stretch then you leave him in there.

Does anyone know if Fuentes' option has been vested for next year?

That's a really good pick up for the Twins. Fuentes has always been a solid/consistent reliever. They're bullpen looks very formidable.

Trying to find out. My guess is no, I just don't see the Twins wanting to pay him $9 million.

Actually, I think Capps is more likely to go than Nathan.

I would think it depends on how well nathan comes back.
