You may all be tired of seeing posts like this, I just want to make sure that people are informed if they want to be.

Between watching the 'Clones take out the Kitties and other Big 12 games today, I was able to finally get the Post Comments form to work, so I invite everyone, if interested, to add a post and speak their mind. I understand that a great deal of conversation here at CF, but I think it'd be nice for anyone coming to the site from outside to see several posts from concerned citizens. All I ask is that people keep it intelligent and as positive as possible--strictly badmouthing the NCAA probably isn't very constructive.

I have also tried to incorporate all the suggested media links that people have posted in various threads, but if there are any that are missing or people have more ideas, please either post them or PM me. And if anyone has any suggestions for how to modify any text that exists, please feel free to suggest that, as well. We all want the message to be as clear, factual, and accurate as possible. The more eyes and brains that process the information, the better.

Furthermore, I invite any Photoshop-savvy folks who might be interested in designing a more interesting masthead image to give it a go. The one we use now I made in like 5 minutes sometime late at night. The only caveat is that you can't use any photos of Lucca unless you took them yourself; we have to be careful about image copyrights. I can provide more details if anyone is interested.

Finally, an update on the hits. Through tonight, we've had 1339 unique visitors in 3 days, with a total of 10,919 hits.

Thank you once more to everyone who has helped with this project. Even if nothing comes of this, it warms my heart to see Cyclone fans fiercely working together towards a common cause. I believe that is what Cyclone pride is all about!

keep posting! im hitting myspace and facebook. FREE LUCCA! i was hoping for a chant at todays game. i mean come on........ what kind of example are they setting when they get players like lucca for being on a team that paid 2 players, then let USC off just cause the “NCAA” knows that bush is making them money. Its just telling student athletes and coaches its ok to break the rules if you are a “special interest” to them

Keep posting! If the NCAA gets away with this, it will be because people got tired of hearing about it. I've gotten zero response from anyone about this. They are counting on us to lose interest and accept it quickly.

I realize copyright pictures is a problem, but I hope someone takes a picture of him somewhere and includes on this site or as a link. His actual picture would be very powerful. A picture of the other Washington player would be nice also. These are common everyday people tht have been scr*****.

The site is really looking great...

It doesn't seem to be having any impact. I don't see any additional articles. The only time this has been mentioned nationally is on a chat with ISU fans providing the question. I really wish one of these writers would do a story.

I wrote letters to the editor to the Trib, the Rag, and the Daily urging Cyclone fans to support Lucca, and I of course pimped--to a marginal degree--the site. A guy from the Trib just called and said it was going in. I don't know if that will have any effect whatsoever... but at least the URL will be in print.

I have been trying to optimize the site for Google, and I saw in the site statistics that Google's bot found the URL, and even a few folks visited from a search engine. But so far I have been unable to find it on Google myself. :skeptical:

And honestly, if a small group of people were to go the game with a sign or banner that says merely "" I think that would get more people to visit, and possibly generate enough interest from the local media. I would make this banner myself but you see it is a long-*** drive to Ames from Austin and I'm still enough of a newb at work (only out of school since May) that I can't just take vacation to go watch a basketball game 1000 miles away.

Just a thought but does anyone have some contacts that they might just be able to get Lucca to agree to pose for some pics? Again, I don't know all the rules but even if someone that sits in Cyclone Alley could approach him while he's standing around during pregame to see if he'd pose by the bench in his street clothes or something that would be cool.
