Why are former pro baseball players allowed to play other college sports? What is the rationale behind that being allowed under ncaa rules?

Not sure. I don't understand this either. They made the choice to go pro in baseball. I have no problem with them coming back to get an education, but not exactly sure how I feel about playing another sport to ride the jock bandwagon they have been on all their lives.

The rationale is that T Boone says make it so. What is the rational that allows BYU to bring in guys who otherwise would have been in the NFL for 4-5 years?

It almost makes me think we should be scouting canada for ex junior league hockey enforcers and converting them to linebackers or something.

You can't count the number of minor league baseball players who have played college football.
