Years ago when Mediacom installed cable to our new house, they left behind a spool with what I estimate to be a few hundred feet of coaxial cable. Since then I've held on to it, mostly because I didn't know what to do with it. But I'd like to get rid of it. Is it worth anything, or is there a market for that sort of thing?

If you strip it down to the copper wiring I would assume it would worth something.

Not a lot of value there. It would be nice for someone looking to rewire thier house or add new outlets.

You could maybe get $10-$15 on craigslist for it. Is the cable type is printed on the cable or spool? RG-6? RG-6 QUAD?

You could always return it to Mediacom.

I'd give you $10 for it.

Yep. That's assuming they forgot it, rather than just left it for the homeowner to do another run (Mediacom left me 50' to run through a ceiling to another future set).

Mediacom would probably charge a service call to come pick it up.:twitcy:
