This seems much more worthy of a student body apology than the one our students issued.

Wow...it is a disease! Would they taunt someone fighting cancer? Classless...obviously!

Rather then taunting Larry maybe they should have supported their team... When you get blown out by 22 points a little fan support probably wouldn't hurt.

Wonder how many of them were drunk while they were yelling it?

Meh...Larry can handle it, he'd probably say he would want his student section doing it to the other teams coach if the roles were reversed if he had to be completely honest.

I was going to say. Student section chanting "Alcoholic" reeks of the old pot/kettle saying.

There is never a right time to chant that when Larry is getting help for it.

Something more appropriate might be a sign inviting him to a party or something.

It is not a disease. It is a personal choice.

Classless, yes. But these are not the same things. Not even close.

I think some alcoholics might like a little reminder now and then of what it did to their life so they aren't tempted to pick up a bottle. Larry strikes me as that kind of guy. If someone asked him about it after the game that is what I would picture him saying.

I remember Bob Huggins DUI chants a couple of years ago in Ames.

No class move right there. Show a little restraint.
