"In this roller coaster season, Iowa State suddenly resembles a national title contender."
Hard to argue.
One game at a time.... Got to be a lot sharper than we were today to go past first 2 teams...
I liked this one from earlier tonight.
Let's just win the first game first
Yep. This team isn't good enough to let their seeding lead the way. Need to play smarter and efficiently to even get past the first round.
National Title talk is too much Hawkdom, and that's just wrong.
I don't know how I feel about not being the underdog... So far the season has been amazing.... I'll just be happy with that right now.
Certainly we want to be locked in and ready to take care of business, but Baylor may very well have given us more challenge than we'll get the first weekend.
Our shots may not have been falling early but I thought we were sharp from the get go. We were locked in on defense from start to finish. Just because shots aren't falling doesn't mean they didn't come out sharp and ready. A performance like today would get it done against most teams.
They say we're the sexy final 4 pic now. ESPN: The Worldwide Leader In Sports
Easy there, tiger. I just thought it's nice to see the Worldwide Leader giving us positive press.
Two random people in Vegas said to me "remember Hampton". Seeding = meaningless. I want nothing to do with Texas in the latest bracket
ESPN really has shown us some love this year. We have been on their front page a lot..... After seeing the crowd go crazy tonight, I can only imagine how insane it would get if we did win the national title.
ESPN knows we're probably the only fanbase that can't sleep right now, so they're trolling us. I'm sure by 6 am we'll be off the front page.
Did you slap them?
ME: so this ***** says, why can't you vacuum every once and a while and I was like, I'm a big 12 champion *****, vacuum yourself.
FH: uh huh, yep
Nice to see them catching up.
We've been a legit contender for quite a while now.
Eh, im not sure i'd say that. Statistically, you have a higher chance at making it through the first weekend with a higher seed. For every 2 thats lost to a 15 there are another 20 that havent (and that stat was much worse before the last couple years). Additionally the 2 has beaten the 7 (the most likely round of 32 matchup) 74% of the time, while the 3 has only beaten the 6 54% of the time.
