gotta link with that?
David Grant - Football Recruiting
Yet another reason to hate Nebraska!!
Damn thats a huge loss
SON OF A NUTCRACKER!
This gets so tiring.
This is why I hang out in the political cave. I mean, sure, the world is going all to hell, but it's less depressing than talking about Cyclone sports lately.......ok, maybe not, but sometimes it just seems that way.
Do we thank Missoura for stealing Hoch?
Probably some sort of domino effect.
I haven't been able to keep up. Was he actually committed to us, or was he just one we thought we had a good shot at?
For cripes sake! Why do these kids committ if they are not serious about it? This drives me mad. At this point i don't believe any of the players that have supposedly committed to ISU.
He was committed to us. He is still currently on the front page of CR for our list of commitments but he is gone if you look at the full list http://iowastate.rivals.com/commitlist.asp
I'm sure we'll do some stealing from other teams as well. It's getting down to the crunch time in recruiting and this always seems to happen. He probably won't be the only one we lose.
well we've now lost grant and marshall (3* on rivals) and ellington (3* on scout), we'll lose more too but hopefully gain some. nonetheless this really sucks
So wait. We have less than 20 commits now?
I would say we can definitely blame this on Hoch switching to Mizzou. It stinks, but there is nothing you can do. Personally I think Marshall was a bigger loss. We aren't as bad off on the OL.
Put yourself in a recruits shoes. You have no predetermined allegences to a team, so you take your visits and commit to a team verbally. Then a while later a school who has a "Better" history comes to recruit you and you switch.
Thats why they switch.
thats easy its just like; you apply for two jobs, one offers, you accept, the higher paying job offers not long after, you then decline first and accept the second
