Really impressive for a young team this early in the year.
So far, this team is way more mentally tough than the past two years. They rebound with tenacity, play good D in spurts, can score in the paint at will, have closed out two BIG games early on on the year.
The only thing that they lag obviously is 3 pt shooting.
I think the team is a lot better than the last two years as well, I could see this team getting to around 24 wins in the regular season. We play well on both sides of the ball (well defense is in streaks yet) but that still beats rarely playing it in the last couple of years. Were still getting killed on the glass by teams that have height, hopefully something gets figured out like last year in that department. Great athletic, high basketball IQ team this season.
With Naing being a year older and more mature, he is a game changer. We replaced Sr's with two freshman and Naz playing big minutes...so no we will not.
Morris needs a lot of room to grow. Thank god Kane is a beast. Niang at best is the same as last year. Ejim the same or slightly better. Thomas looked like be was really stepping it up. Hogue is a scrappy beast. Naz is obviously improved though a bit cold tonight. He needs to work on his penetration skills.
Should be a fun year
Poll up so the lurkers can vote.
Kane > Clyburn
And it's not that close either. Kane just so much better with the ball. Only thing Clyburn has on Kane is he probably was a better shooter.
Yes. Absolutely! No question they are better than last season.
No reason to believe they couldn't be better.
No doubt. At this point I will be disappointed with anything less than the elite eight
I want to believe.
But like a true cyclone fan, ive got my cup firmly in place as the season goes on.
This team is unquestionably better than the november team of 2012 and 2011. If this team improves between now and january 1 at the same rate those teams did.... look out.
National Championship here we come!!!!
Yes. As it has been said before, this team has mental toughness, which goes deep in March. It's going to be a fun year.
Too early to tell, not enough data.
Two Fred Hoibergs in the same building? I don't even want imagine what that would do to the space-time continuum.
Mel is way better. The only thing is he's bringing along his ability to pick up silly fouls.
National Championship or bust!
I'm drowning in the Kool-Aid!!!
I think this team is less talented, but are no doubt mentally tougher and seem to have better chemistry. I say overall the record might be better, but it's too early to tell where this team really ends up. This team could definitely be better.
