Pumped to have him. Morris, Thomas, and Custer will make for a SOLID back court in the future

My math might be off, but if he committed on November 19, 2012, then it would only be one year not two.

"Overland Park, Kan. point guard Clayton Custer of Blue Valley Northwest High School committed to Hoiberg almost exactly two years ago (Nov. 19, 2012) and over the course of that 700-plus days, the 6-foot-1 floor general never wavered."

Dave Armstrong is already salivating over the opportunity to call him "The General" for the next four years.

4-5 of them are going to small D1 schools.

The Mayor commands the General. Has a decent ring to it.

I think most of them are going to smaller schools. DII level. His team is good, but like mentioned, small and not terribly athletic. He is, by leaps and bounds, the best player on his team. Can't wait for this kid. Another 'winner'. Can't have too many of those, am I right?

    This part says it all...

He plans to be on campus this weekend when the Cyclones host seventh-ranked Michigan.

“I am going to put my recruiting hat on,â€￾ Custer said.

Custer is going to be outstanding.
The idea of him and Monte together then leads to the next questions, and picturing those two together with Matt Thomas floating around. We're really loading up with good players/good kids/amazing possibilities for Fred to put together.

I just love that 40% from three isn't up to the standard that he wants to set. That's outstanding.

It's awesome that Fred will have so many options for handling the ball. That just really opens up the offense.

Remember when Chris Colvin committed and this place went crazy because he was a 4 star player? Dozens and dozens of threads and posts...Custer is ranked higher...and while everyone (myself included) is very pumped for Clayton it's pretty amazing that Fred has put together a team that when a 4 star kids signs it barely registers a bump in traffic.
