Really Ralph? Chan Gailey? You promised to go out and get us a "big name" coach and you get Chan Gailey?!!? Unbelievable. Cheers to another 3 years of mediocrity everybody! Here's a quick way to figure out if a coach is worthwhile or not... This guy couldn't win a playoff game with Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith and we think he's gonna be able to get to the playoffs without an even average QB??? Get real!

At least he got to the playoffs, that is a huge step up for the Bills. They haven't been to the playoffs for 10 years.

Look at it this way; he'll be fired by Thanksgiving.

I wouldn't worry about the Bills being relevant again. They have little talent, play in a tough division, and didn't have a shot at landing a top notch coach.

Who do you expect to get hired? No big names are going to go to Buffalo.

This has to be a little disappointing for Bills fans. It just goes to show that even in the NFL, a league known for its parity, there are still have's and have not's. There just isn't much draw for a team in their position. It's probably very difficult to get free agents to sign there, due to geography, population, weather, etc. And top level coaches know the limitations going in. That's why a guy like Mike Shanahan interviews and says "Thanks but no thanks." Their only shot is to catch lightning in a bottle and change the whole dynamic of the franchise. It will take great coaching and great drafting, not to mention luck. You'd think they might take a chance on a hot young assistant like so many other teams have done as of late. Gailey seems like **** Jauron Part II. A former head coach who was marginally successful, at best, at his previous gig.

One thing Gailey will get is time. Ralph Wilson will give him a chance to make it work. That's good, I guess. IMHO, teams are way too hasty to fire a coach these days.
