Well we got the one win in Philly we had to have. Now it's a 3 game series with 2 in Busch. Wouldn't it be something if they sneak into the World Series again!!!!!!

Good first few innings for Jamie. He looks solid. He needs to stay ahead of the Philly hitters. They are making Hamels work, which is good. Let's hope they can get to him soon.

Anything can happen in the playoffs. The cardinals have basically been playing post season baseball for a couple of weeks which really helps them IMO.

When they won the WS a few years ago, they were widely regarded as the worst team (I think they won like 84 games or something like that) in the playoffs and no one gave them a chance.

Splitting the first 2 games is huge for the road team. It completely changes the dynamic of the series.

Double plays will be how this team goes down. Good job, Craig.

Yup, DPs are gonna kill us. He hit that hard, just right at Utley. Doesn't look good as I thought we could win with Garcia today, but one bad pitch cost us. Was hoping to get them on their heels and the Cards could play more loose tomorrow against Oswalt. Crap.

Just take it one at a time. Gotta win vs. Oswalt tomorrow, then take things from there. Don't count them out yet.

I won't count them out yet especially against Oswalt tomorrow but winning in Philly seems like a stretch at this point with the way this team shows up.

Definitely be watching tomorrow. Could be Pujols' last game as a Cardinal.

What exactly do you mean here? This team has been so resilient that I'm struggling with trying to understand what that means.

Not surprised at all to see the Cardinals win today. I expected it for sure. Friday will be a memorable one, one way or another!

Looking forward to Friday! Hopefully Halladay has a rough day and Carp pitches better than he did in game 2.

I like the Birds' chances. The squirrel got in Oswalt's head, Utley HAS to be sore, and Howard admits he's pressing.

Carp's going to spin a masterpiece. Halladay will be merely human. Some unsung Cardinal will be the hero. I'm going with Laird.

Good gosh, is there a more annoying fan base in the world when it comes to having cutesie little nicknames for every player on the team and about 50 variations to their team name?

Yes, bitter Cubs fan here but was reading up on the playoffs and couldn't get through this thread without puking. Good luck tonight.
