Likely because naz long couldn't make it. Via twitter.
Nice to hear
I thought he had some academic scholarships already? Good for him though.
So if this is the case, are we (and Naz) looking at other options?

The article below your post explains it well. All good.
Sidebar: I wonder what Long being included in the 2012 class does for the updated rankings in the Spring.
Doesn't sound like it... necessarily. If you read the article, Hoiberg has some good quotes about Long. I think we would be crazy to let Naz go elsewhere at this point. But you never know.
I like it. Reward him for his hard work.
Nazareth, Niang, and Nkereuwem. Sweet.
And Sherron Dorsey-Walker
Just wondering if we are at 13 Scholarships now we lose Scotty, Allen, and Bubu gives his back for next year we get back to 10, but yet we bring in 4 recruits? Doesn't that leave us 1 over the scholarship limit? Is there something I'm missing?
Bubu, for now, is only on scholarship for this spring semester. He doesn't have one next year to give back.
This is simply a reward for his hard work, while that reward is available.
This is not a new problem. It's been the situation since CFH signed Naz. We have to assume he has some information that leads him to believe we will have one less person who is currently on scholarship (not counting Bubu) in 2012.
Does that mean Sledge is transferring back home to get closer to family....
Its all good !
He should be on scholarship for the rest of his time at ISU.
He plays, he's valuable...give him a ride.
If I was him, I'd considering transferring to another school because he's good enough to get his school paid for.
Is he willing to forgo an entire year and have only one left to lay? If I am FH, I would use this as leverage.
