Wow. Best of luck to him. We will miss him around here.

I wonder if Rashad Vaughn's AAU coach needs a job.

Huh. I was expecting him to leave before long, but I had assumed it would be for a head coaching job, not a lateral move.

This is going to sting but it's not the end of the world.

I truly expected Otzelberger to stay at Iowa State and have his first head coaching job here if and when Fred leaves for the NBA. Best of luck T.J. and thank you for your hard work as a Cyclone!

Sucks. Otz is a great guy, taking a lateral move and given the circumstances hurts but wish him nothing but the best.

He did a fine job in this position...but Fred is the person getting the job done! Fred will have a lot of qualified people contacting him and hoping to land a spot on his staff. This is nothing but a blip in the development of the program.

I think CW's last sentence is concerning....his staff just has Cornell Mann and Matt A left...need to go get someone good! I would think with a lot of eyes toward CFH and our team, it'd be a job that many would like.

I wonder if his fiance got a similar job out that way as well?

One of my big concern as he leaves is who some of his recruiting targets were and does he recruit them to Washington?

My heart just sank. Was he the one leading the charge for all the MN 2014 guys?

Well, darn it. Hate to lose anyone of that caliber, but I wish him well. Hope we grab an exciting assistant to replace him.
