Just saw this rumor, looks like the Astros gave up Luke Scott, Matt Albers, Troy Patton, Dennis Sarfate, and Mike Castanzo for Tejada. Interesting move by the Astros...

I dont recognize those names but since this is the O's we are talking about I'm sure Tejada will be MVP next year and I won't see any of those names in a lineup all year.

Yeah I only recognized Scott and Albers, but the rest must be decent prospects. My opinion is the O's got the better of this deal by getting at least 2 major-league ready players in Scott and Albers along with 3 good prospects all for only Tejada. He's a long way removed from his MVP form.

I hope your right, and I would tend to agree about Tejada - but I'm skeptical about any move the O's front office makes. Its been a long hard decade since they were worth a crap.

I just saw it on ESPN, looks like it is going to happen. We will have to wait and see how this works out for either team.

Smacks of that famous AFL/NFL, ex Georgia running back who the Vikings gave away half their players to obtain. He needed to rush for 2500 yards a year just to make it worth the deal.

I think I would wait for the Mitchell report to be released before signing a deal for Tejada.

This good news for Cub fans too. More likely that Roberts will now get traded to the Cubs. Man this could be a GREAT off season.

I'm not terribly pumped about possibly getting Roberts but it seems as though everyone else in the world is so Go Cubs!

Why does every thread involving baseball somehow get swung over to something pertaining to the Cubs? lol...not a diss to Cubs fans, I love you people - but it's just funny when baseball is mentioned Cubs' fans somehow make everything revolve around them/focus on their team...

I think it has to do with the eternally optimistic thing. Come to think of it though, if I were a Cardinals fan I'd get sick of seeing us talking about the Cubs and want to throw my 2 cents in. Maybe it's because they know they're guaranteed to suck next year.

Defiantly, I don't see why the Astros didn't wait one more day. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Tejada is on that list, considering there may be as many as 80 players named.

Tejada has bad range on defense, his offense is declining, and he's rumored to be a roider. We'll see what happens with that.
