So far, here's what we know about the 2013 non-conference schedule. Please fill gaps if I missed anything.

    In no particular sequence:

    • B12/SEC Challenge [1]
    • at BYU
    • vs. UNI (at DM)
    • Iowa
    • Michigan
    • at/vs Diamond Head Classic (3 games) (Hawai’i, Boise St., George Mason, Oregon State,
      St. Mary’s, So. Carolina, TBA)
    • UMKC (return game?)
[1] Haven't seen anything official regarding ISU — Internet speculation seems to be vs. Ole Miss. I’m not sure of home team, regardless of opponent.

That leaves either four or five games undetermined (depending on UMKC). Unless there’s a surprise relevant opponent in the works, I imagine those will be softie-home-game guarantees.

IF the Big 12 / SEC game is in Hilton, that is going to be a great home non conf schedule.

Don't forget UNI is @ Wells Fargo, not at Hilton.

Screw it lets scrap the whole non-con thing and just play everyone in the conference 3 times. One at home, one away, and one neutral = 27 games.

Kstate in Lincoln @ their new arena
    KU in Sprint Center
    OU in OKC
Okie St. in Wells Fargo (God knows we can't beat them with any kind of home court advantage)
Texas in Jerry's dome (I'm sure it would be packed....)
Texas Tech/Baylor/TCU either in Wichita's new arena or a high school gym somewhere
West Virginia in Dayton just cause we all know how to get there.

I've obviously taken this too far, and have way too much time on my hands this rainy day.

    That would be.

I have a hunch SEC game might be on the road. Depending on how much say ISU has in the scheduling package, it'd probably be home during years when we're @ Iowa, and vice-versa.

    Just a guess, though.

I'm curious as to why the Big XII/SEC matchups haven't been released yet. You know they're set since both Kentucky and KU have released their non-conference schedules.

Seems like they'd already be set, or soon.

To compare, I checked on the Big10/ACC for '13 --- I think that was announced last week.

Pretty sure the SEC game is at Auburn but not positive on that yet.

    Thanks, Chris.

More info than I had been able to find.

One I would like to see is Drake in Hilton (on the off years of the WF game). Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but it has to be one of our most played series historically. I don't see much downside for either school. We get a game we should very much win but will be marginally better for our strength of schedule than some of the low level teams we pay to come in. They get a close road game that they get paid for. Only issue would be if it weren't allowed under the 'Big Four' contract for some reason. Also gets more free local media coverage for both teams than some random non-con game.

Wish we play Mizzou or Arkansas at Sprint Center. That would be pretty awesome.

Not sure why Auburn even has a basketball team. Huge letdown if true.

Sir Charles had our backs after the Ohio State game. Unless he was suiting up and each team gets one alum to play 25 minutes, this game has little interest for me at least. I would even consider this a bad loss if that's what happens.

They usually try to match the teams evenly correct? If so and we play Auburn they must not think too highly of us. That game really couldn't help us. You win and it's cool we beat Auburn. You lose and it's "Iowa State can't win on the road, they lost to Auburn."

I thought the rumor was Ole Miss...when did this Auburn thing come out? Had anyone heard about it before CW said something today?
