    Coach Bray, nice job!

Just watched highlights of the NIU game at Cyclones.com. Both of LB Jake Knott's interceptions came about from tipped passes, the first one by DE Patrick Neal, the second one by DE Roosevelt Maggitt.

Yeah it's amazing how much more difficult on the QB it makes it when D-Linemen get their hands up. We may not generate a huge pass rush all the time but if the guys that don't get there get their hands up, we can compensate a little bit. That's good coaching

I also noticed that when there was a tipped ball and if one of our defensive players weren't able to get between the offensive player and the ball to get to it, they would take the offensive player to the ground to make sure the offense wouldn't end up getting to the ball. Great effort all around on the defensive side and great job by the coaches.

So frickin jealous of what they have in Ames. It's truly amazing what Fred has done coming in with 0 coaching experience.

Wasn't the second one by Rump? Whoever did it didn't even have to jump, the QB threw it right at shoulder level! Huge plays, great to have our DL tip balls when they can't get to the QB.
