Could you play for a woman football coach?

I hate this, because I consider myself extremely liberal, but I'm watching a piece on OTL about a woman coach in D.C. and I just can't picture myself in a scenario where I would be able to do it. As much as I'd want to say "as long as she knows football, it'd be fine", but I just honestly don't think I could do it. Something about the machoism in me, I suppose.

    How about you?

Re: Could you play for a woman football coach?

Interesting. I consider myself an extremist: Republicans are too liberal for me, and anarchists too conservative...but I'd have no problem playing for any coach with ability.

This contributes to my theory that liberals are conservatives who haven't come out of the closet yet.

Goldie Hawn in Wildcats.... now she could coach.

Honestly, not sure. I have coached basketball and heard Pat Summit speak a number of times at clinics. I am positive she could coach men's teams and be successful and players would "PLAY" for her.

But basketball is basketball and football isn't.

Considering that my high school coach had absolutely no clue and didn't really care I would have gladly played for just about anyone else.

Re: Could you play for a woman football coach?

I was asked if I wanted to coach sons team (an assistant ) I didnt because I am a women and not sure how it would fly here. But I love football and would have loved to learn even more in that position .. I believe we can always learn more and if you love it , it tends to come easier.. anyway I declined.Someday maybe?

    No I couldn't have.

I always viewed football games and practices as man-time.

I've been letting a woman tell me what to do every day now for 26 years - why would a woman coach bother me!!
