    Top 3 Defensive Recruits

Hypothetically, if you were hired on to Chizik's staff as a recruiter. Who would be your Top 3 defensive recruits? Lets keep them realistic too. I imagine you all want to keep your job as Chizik's primary recruiter. Here is mine.

    1.Nick Anderson - Football Recruiting
The way this kid flys to the ball is unbelievable! Hard nosed kid.
    2. D.J. Marshall - Football Recruiting
Marshall and Aldon would make a pretty good duo. Defensive Ends can win championships (see Northern Iowa vs Appalachian State title game)
    3. Aldon Smith - Football Recruiting
His size and speed says to me, "Berryman". In a good way of course

Lets see yours. This is no premium content. Lets keep it that way

    I would have to say...

    1. K.J. Williams - Football Recruiting. He looks like he could really be a freak!
    2. Aldon Smith - Football Recruiting. Man, i really want DE's dont I?
    3. Jake McDonough - Football Recruiting. I dont know why, but i really want the local kid. He has great size and could probably fill out nicely.

I was watching a 13U baseball doubleheader last night with KF (of the evil empire) and his son James, teasing James about his #3 ranking as the Rivals In-State Recruit. James is a funny self-effacing kid, noting that Rivals was killing their credibility by rating him #3. For the record, he thinks young Cotton is the #1 recruit in the state, an opinion that his dad seems to share. I suggested that maybe James should spread his wings and fly the coop (to the west), which at least got him to smile...

I asked Kirk if he was going to let ISU have any of the "top ten", and he immediately replied that we appeared to be looking good with McDonough. I take that as a good sign; you may get your wish!

The only thing I didn't like about McDonough in his videos, was he seemed really slow. Maybe that's just me, but did anyone else see that? He seems to be the last one off the line a lot.

    Re: Top 3 Defensive Recruits

Has anyone looked at this kid? I just watched his videos for the first time and I was really impressed. A few of the first clips showed him taking on the first blocker, putting him on his a** and then taking the running back's head off. Tough kid. I'd love to see him in a Cylone uniform.

Is anyone else not a CR member, but still able to watch a lot of the videos?

    Re: Top 3 Defensive Recruits

Slaughter is set to visit in July. Hope we get him, looks strong, benches330 and knocks players on their butts, fast and decisive. He must have a good FB IQ, he made quick decisions when going for the tackle. Hopefully people will look the other way since hes only 6' tall.

Is this kid the son of a former Cyclone? There was a Shamus and Sean McDonough at ISU in the 70's, I think they were from Corning.
