    How about that STUDENT section....

With all the talk about the lack of student ticket sales, I was just wondering if the CF / Wilson Toyota give away is what packed that section. Not to mention upper section above them........I think the whole section stood for the whole game....KUDOS!

We are in Section O right next to the upper deck student section. The students were fantastic! Their section was full, they were loud, standing most of the game and very enthusiastic. We were very proud of them.

Great turn out for the students! However, what is with starting the wave when your team is right in front of you on a 3rd and long. Really?? Cheer your team on!

Might have been the most fun I've had at a game in my 3 years here.

As I suspected, buying hillside tickets and sneaking into the student section worked perfectly. I think a TON of people did that. So much cheaper.

Last year against Baylor was an absolute blast. Lopsided win, rabbit KOR FTW, "snowball" fight, the wave, sneaking in beer, great friends, etc... Man that was fun!!

The crowd seemed pretty good last night from a TV perspective.

Very much easyer and cheaper to buy hillside and sneak into the 48 yard line 3 rows up too.

Agreed. The wave is ok for one of those 8 minute TV timeouts. Or during a booth review. Not when your own offense is trying to move the ball. Otherwise the students were great, all the way to the top!

They did a great job. I'm having withdrawls as it is my first season in the "grown up" seats on the west side.

I thought that the band started the wave. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, bad timing, but good enthusiasm. Too bad the donors next to them were apathetic at best.

You have to time that to start during a long timeout.

The wave has no place at a football game.

Nope, the student section did. The band added in after a couple times to try to get it to spread across the stadium.

And as much as I didn't like the fact that everyone was focused on that when there were important things going on on the field, I'd like to think that if it was an absolutely crucial possession people would have been more in tune with what was going on. No harm done, and people had fun.
