    Traffic

I thought they way the handle or direct traffic has a lot of room for improvement. They let lanes with hardly and cars and gaps keep going and ones that are way back up sit. After going to a game at Boston College were the traffic cops were working in condensed city streets with stadium heavy traffic, they are miles ahead of how the ones in Ames handle traffic. Basically if the ones in Ames change the frequency in which the rotate which sides/lanes go at a fast rate, it will help get everyone in and out faster. Also, pedestrians. get the hell out of the way of driving lanes both inside and outside the stadium. Some people were walking around like idiot zombies oblivious of cars behind them or on their sides. That also slows traffic.

Will it? Or are you just guessing it will? Changing more frequently actually slows everyone down in the long run because there is more time where they have to stop all traffic. And pedestrians keep the parking lots safer from morons flying around too fast.

And some of you would **** a brick if you went other places and saw how long it takes to get out. Ames is very, very smooth.

Is this speaking about Iowa City?

    Re: Traffic

The Ames police must have been out in force giving parking tickets instead of directing traffic. I got a ticket for parking to close to a corner but it was worth it... $10 parking ticket or $20 to park in a swamp.

I have been to other places. For example the situation was a lot better at Texas than Ames, despite more people and again a more condensed situation, they had a better handle on traffic flow. Of course I mention Boston College above too.

    Re: Traffic

Maybe we just got lucky but it went very smooth for us. We stayed to the end (plus ~10 minutes) and it took us less than an hour from our seat to home in far west Urbandale. The down side was we only got to hear a little of the intro from Chris on the Cyclone call in show.
