    Dish Network - Twin Cities

My Dish Network program guide shows the game (ISU v: NIU) as being available on channel 445. Anybody know if I'll really be able to watch it or if it will be "unavailable"?

Re: Dish Network - Twin Cities

Not entirely sure about your question but is 445 usually reserved for the Big 10 Network? I have heard through Cyclone Report that channel 693 on Comcast is showing the game live and that is usually a B10 Network channel. I am also trying to verify that but I haven't seen it anywhere other than CR.

It will make me feel much better about trying to watch at home if this is the case. There is no way I can wait to watch until 10:30 after the Twins, I would find some way to ruin it by listening on Clone Zone or reading this site.

Another Twin Cities Dish Network customer here -- those channels are alternate FSN networks, which are available when the content isn't shown on a pay package (MLB, NHL, etc.). You should be good to go without having to wait until after the Twins game! I'll be out of the house and going the DVR route, so I'll be able to watch faster when I get home using the broadcast on 445.

Re: Dish Network - Twin Cities

I can't speak for Dish Network, but in the past with DirecTV:
whenever the local Fox Sports North decides to show Twins baseball, T'Wolves basketball, Wild Hockey, gopher football, gopher hockey, gopher wrestling, gopher women's basketball, NDSU football gopher women's swimming, paid programming, etc.. usually the ISU game when it is a "nationally televised" game will show up on another channel. Last year, it was often Fox Sports Wisconsin. It is almost always a game of 'go see if you can find the channel' (which makes it hard to DVR).
I'm 'laying money' on Fox Sports Wisconsin for this game.

If nothing else, Joe Senser's will have it (but you may be relegated to the lonely tv in the corner).

Re: Dish Network - Twin Cities

I assumed that I'll be able to see it. I just don't want to end up not being able to and then having to jump in my car to go to the nearest Senser's (Roseville for me), which is still about 20 minutes away and end up missing the 1st Quarter.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll take my chance at home, then.

The program guide even shows it as being available in HD......I hope they're right!

And then there's Watch online TV on Your PC with SatelliteDirect - Over 3,500 HD Channels Available 24/7

Not sure how legit or good it is. Still requires payment to whoever is providing your internet (for me, Comcast and $60/month)
