    What are you listening to?

At tomorrows game that is?!? I'm trying to put a playlist together that will hopefully please my parents (50's) my siblings (late 20's) and myself and other college friends who stop by.

I'm looking for some advise...with less than 24 hours before you will be in the tailgating lots, what is on your Ipod, CD, or Cassette tape/8 track player for you old timers ?

Re: What are you listening to?

I would put a solid mix of sixties & seventies artists like the Beatles & Stones, mix it with a few country artists like Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. Then toss in some early nineties hip hop (Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr) and some eighties indie (Replacements, REM). Top it off with some newer mainstream stuff like Wilco, Drive-By Truckers, Black Keys, and you are SET.

This works for me too! Especially the Beatles and Stones!

Love your mix (minus the country for me). Speaking of the Stones, I went to the Dirty Heads show at People's Monday night and they did a pretty decent cover of Paint it Black.

I might add some early Kings of Leon. Stuff off of Youth & Young Manhood. Also some Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

I like that you're not afraid to mix in some Black Keys, Muse, and Mumford & Sons along with the classics. Good work.
