Anybody else see this lame prediction?

    http://blogs.columbiatribune.com/basketball/

The guy picks ISU dead last in the Big 12 for next season. I saved the article.

The best are his totally BS reasons for picking them last when another ISU fan calls him out on it.

Re: Anybody else see this lame prediction?

That is the stupidest thing ive ever seen. ISU will be improved next year theres no doubt about that. I see ISU either sqeaking into the NCAA tourney or getting a solid NIT bit. Clark has struggled on the offensive end of the floor but he is one of the best defenders/rebounders in the league and i see wes being on the 1st team all big 12 and maybe player of the year. Thats how good he is.

I think this guy thinks the M in Missouri stands for Knowledge...

Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Yeah, but not all of them are awesome.

I'll be disappointed with fewer than 20 wins.

Re: Anybody else see this lame prediction?

Brackins - top 20 recruit coming in
Staiger - could be our Wesley Johnson diamond in the rough for next year (big twelve freshman of the year)
Wesley - obviously one of the best players in the big twelve lottery pick material in the future and is only a sophmore
Jiri - last year was his first year of bing a "post" and he lit everyone up, with an offseason under McDermont and a much improved supporting cast think what he could do
Rahshon - amazingly athletic, rebounder, leader, dunk-a-matic, needs to work on his mid range jumper
Diante - rivals top 150 recruit taking over the point
Don't worry we're the worst team in big twelve basketball despite all of this

I would appreciate it if somebody would post this as a comment on that idiots blog

I'm not sure what exactly to expect, but I think we can, at the very least, match what we did last year. I would love to expect a lot better, but with a lot of young players again, I don't want to get too excited.

However, I do believe those same young players might have the ability to really shake things up for some of the regular starters, and even others on the team. It should be interesting, for sure.

We should beat Iowa, Drake and UNI next year.

    There's 3 more wins.

Re: Anybody else see this lame prediction?

I would honestly pick us 5th-7th.....I don't think we'll have the experience (backcourt mostly besides Taylor) to get top 4, but we'll have enough talent coaching to keep us outta the cellar.

Yeah, that's the thing. I definitely do NOT see us finishing last. There's no way.

Beasley will probably get Big 12 Rookie of Year, or maybe even Player of the year like Durant did.

That was pretty ridiculous. Dude couldn't even come up with a good argument, as Clones are nailing him to the wall. Are there Cyclones everywhere? Where does Cotlar get off talking like Cyclone fans don't have any passion? Sorry, Larry, Cyclone fans have no passion to talk to you buddy.

Re: Anybody else see this lame prediction?

I think that the guy was wrong, no question, but I think that this season will be tougher because I think the conference as a whole shoule be better.

The top three, KU,UT, and A&M may not be as good, although I think Kansas will be out of sight, and Barnes is a terrific coach, so they aren't going to fall too far.

I also think that this may be the year that Baylor puts it all together. It wouldn't surprise me to see them crash the top three, or at least battle KState for 4th. Drew is tremendous, and he has some players.

I think that right about here is where we get in the conversation, along with Mizzu, Okie State, and maybe kNU.

Colorado has an excellent new coach, and if they didn't lose too many guys (I honestly don't know) besides Roby, they could come in and surprise.

And you can never count Bobby Knight out as well, so the league is going to be tough.

I think that we will get better as the season goes along, but what that means, wins and losses wise, I have no idea.
