    the cyclone curse??

I believe in the cyclone curse. Its where a athlete has a break out year and the following year they slow down and slightly disappoint.
I will give you some examples.
    L. Johnson, Craig Brackens, Austen Arnuad.
So this is my fear: what if A-Rob catches the Cyclone curse???

If it has to happen, I'm hoping it'll be Jessie Smith. He was probably our top all-around performer last year anyway.

    L. Johnson= Sophmore slump....happens all the time.
Brackins= coach that didn't know his *** from his elbow
Arnaud= When was his break out?

Lots of athletes have success when they can fly under the radar and have tougher going once teams start keying on them. I agree that there seems to be a Cyclone curse out there, but more with regard to the teams and less with individual athletes.

Austen Arnaud has had a breakout season?

he threw for 2800 yards in 2008 with 61% completion.
it wasn't the greatest but it gave me hope. then he doped down to 2015 yards in 2009

Better hope that Jeff Woody and Shontrelle Johnson are ready to play. Which none have played at the college level yet. So your guess is as good as mine.

This was definitely a slump, and had nothing to do with a complete change to the general offensive scheme.

I would barley call 2008 a breakout year, when those numbers only brought ISU 2 wins.

Fine Arnuad is off the list. So I will say that Collin Franklin getting sick last year was indeed the Curse.
