    Swamp People

What do you think of the show? I've watched the first two episodes and have been impressed. It's pretty funny. If you haven't seen it, it's on tonight at 9 on History.

    Re: Swamp People

What I don't get is History Channel's apparently sudden fascination with strange lines of work. Ice Road Truckers? Swamp People? Ax-Men? Swamp Loggers? American Pickers?

I didn't have cable at home for a while, so I don't know if some of these shows were on 4+ years ago.

I usually don't like shows of that nature, but watching a bunch of coon ***** blasting alligators at point blank range is pretty damn entertaining.

    Re: Swamp People

pickers makes perfect sense-it's all about american history. swamp people to an extent shows some old pics of how they did things back in the day. haven't seen ice road truckers, ax-men, or swamp loggers so can't say about them though.

that said, i like what i've seen so far out of swamp people. it's pretty comical, and interesting as well

    Re: Swamp People

I think the show is great. The show Sunday, it took 15 shots to bring down "Houdini". Not sure how many actually hit the gator, but that's a lot of bullets. Very entertaining show. Thank God for subtitles as well.

    Re: Swamp People

I gotta give the swamp people some serious credit....thats an insanely dangerous line of work. Its one thing to get over powered by a gator and pulled out of the boat while holding the rope. Its another to do so in the event the rope gets wrapped up around an arm or leg pulling you under.

Like to know what they end up making during that one month. The 12 foot gator racked up about $1300. Not bad for a days work.

I liked it at first, but like Deadliest Catch it is to repetitive for me. Go on a boat and fish/hunt. Nothing much else to it. Its not terrible, but my attention span is zilch also.
