    Chizik/Chaplain poll

(Insert beating dead horse picture here.)

The CR Gazette did an online poll.

I think its interesting roughly 69% said yes or its up to the team .

Iowa State football coach Gene Chizik has proposed hiring a team chaplain. Do you favor that idea?
    YES 38.8%
    NO 29.5%
    UP TO TEAM 29.9%
    I’M NOT SURE 1.8%

so 68% are in favor of letting the team decide. I doubt it has any chance.

Actually, it is probably a good idea for this team to have a chaplain. Looking at what's here, and what they have to play, I think that Gene is thinking he can use all of the help that he can get.

I would guess a few of those 29% No's were hawk fans who would just answer "no" to anything pro-active for ISU.

That's the sad thing. For a majority to ever really be payed attention to these days, it has to be like... 90%, ideally more.

The public is more interested in Britney and Paris...

Did you hear Brit is gonna get back with K-Fed... that is so much more exciting that a silly football team, and faith.

No, that is what the bulk to the US population thinks. Whatever Paris and Brit are doing are the two most important things to this country, and that scares me. That is how all these crooked politicians get elected, no one cares, whoever has the best soundbites wins.

Who cares if they have a chaplain or not...if they had one players would not be forced to use him. By the way Dan had a chaplain and noone seemed to care about that.

it's not whoever has the best soundbites, it's whoever has the most food stamps to offer...

Well that does it. We must not hire a chaplain now, we need to make this as polar opposite from Dan as we can.

    Re: Chizik/Chaplain poll

Actually I disagree with having a team chaplain but I rank football over religion and believe chizik should have whatever he thinks we need to win. So if he wants a budist monk I would agree to fund it, no questions asked.

I always enjoy the small percentage that take the time to vote "I'm not sure"
