    Female football coaches

When do women get the opportunity to coach football at the collegiate level?

Not for a long, long time if ever. If we can be honest with ourselves we can acknowledge that football is primarily a boys game played by boys. I don't think that women should be denied the opportunity but if I was a player I would not want to play for or with girls.

I dont have a problem with it, but I dont see it happening. Guys flat out bond with a a guy at the helm, its a nature thing. I just dont think that would happen with a female leading the team.

I don't even think it has to be that deep. How many succesful football coaches, especially at the college level, never actually played organized football at some competitive level (hs, college, pro). How many women play organize football at those levels? They will always have a major uphill battle accumulating the experience necessary to teach the game to someone else.

She is not at all what I was picturing a woman football coach to look and sound like. I was thinking big and loud. She is opposite of that. Hope it works out for her but for the reasons others have stated I doubt there will be many others.

This has already been done before. Apparently everyone has forgotten.
