    Chris,

Can you make a sticky or something at the top of the forums about virus removal. I can type up a nice summary based on my knowledge and other posts on what to do for the virus removal along with what tools are free and which ones cost to remove the threat from your users' pcs.

    1. First go download Malwarebytes and download it to a flash drive.
    2. Unplug your pc from the internet
    3. Boot your pc to safe mode and install the program
    4. Run the program to do a full scan and remove any threats you find.
    5. Reboot your machine to normal mode
    6. Rerun the virus software to do a full scan.
    7. Plug your machine back into the internet
    8. Restart to normal mode.
    9. Rerun the virus program a third time to ensure you have cleaned everything off.

You will want to install Microsoft Free Security Essentials, turn on the firewall, download all updates from Microsoft. You will want to download a free anti virus such as AVG, Avast, or some other one if you wish not to pay for a virus program.

Switch your browser from MS Explorer to either Firefox or Chrome. If you decide to go with Firefox, you will want to download the most popular addons such as ad-block and a few others that will give you some additional security.

Most important of all, quit looking at the porn sites or downloading torrents of music or movies if you are or anyone in your family is currently doing this.

    What virus?

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.

I didn't, but others did this weekend. There was some more specific instructions on this problem, towards the end of that first virus thread, but it looks to me like that entire thread might have been deleted. I can't, but others here can help.
