I'm right there with you on the D line. I think they are going to be a nice surprise for those of us who will see them for the first time a week from this Thursday. I think the O line are the stars of the show and will make everything work from running to passing to keeping the opponents off the field.

I'm still really nervous about a punter.

I think our receivers are going to produce - one way or the other. There's enough guys at those positions that I am confident SOMEBODY, is going to step up and perform.

I have my usual late-August bright red Kool-Aid moustache.

Chris, I'm positive Catlett caught a TD against K-State last year. Wide open 30 yard reception for our first TD of the game.

Jake Williams isn’t as fast as Darius Reynolds.
Um, in the past CPR has called JW the fastest guy on the team. He isn't as shifty as Reynolds.

Keep in mind they likely never saw Money in his best shape. If I had to put money down I would put it on West. Next year he and Lampkin could have some serious races.

You guys are right. He actually caught one against Baylor too. My bad. I corrected it in the story. Thanks.

    Isn't McDonough closer to 290 than 270? That's what the roster/2-deeps say.

It appears that they've updated it. My last print out said 270. Now he's listed at 288. Dude is getting big.

Chris -- Why do you consider Woody and Williams to be so consistent? We haven't even seen Woody play under any pressure! I don't really think Williams is any more consistent than Darks and by the sounds of it, Sed Johnson. Why isn't Jake Williams flashy? He made some flashy catches last year. Let me guess, these guys also do all the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet. I feel like there's a little confirmation bias going on.

Jake isn't a flashy guy. He never gets headlines. He's just solid and was WAAAAY more consistent than Darks or Johnson last year. No question about that at all.

As for Woody, I am going off of what the coaches have told me on the record and other side conversations as well. Just look at our front page poll. Woody was listed as the number two running back when I asked fanatics who they thought number two would be when the season starts. He only has 26 percent of the votes. Again...no flash. People don't get amped up about these two but at the end of the day, they're both very important to the program.

So Woody can't be consistent because we haven't seen him yet, Sed may be as consistent as Williams even though we have seen the both play and up to this point WIlliams has been more consistent?
