    Going to St Louis

Im heading to St Louis to visit my brother this weekend and the only time I've been there the only thing we got to do was the arch for school so I don't need to see that again. I want to go to the brewery and Grant's farm. Are there any other things that I should go see while im there. I'll be there till Tuesday so I've got plenty of time. Also are there any places that are must stops for eating and if there are any good beer shops down there.

Grants farm is a waste of time unless you have little kids. I was just down there 10 days ago and spent 5 days there. Lacledes landing near the arch is well worth it. Lots of bars and places to eat. There is a comedy club there. Believe it or not St. Louis has a killer zoo. Absolutely amazing AND ITS FREE!. Also the St. Louis art museum kics ***** as well. Washington park is the largest public city park in the US the zoo/history musuem/art museum and science center are all on the grounds. Washington park is huge (i heard it was 4 times bigger than central park it does have an 18 hole public course inside it) Also Hurricane Harbor at 6 flags is a super nice water park. 6 flags is a blast as well and don't miss a cards game.

Even if you are not into church stuff the Basilica Cathedral is an architectural wonder. Ted Drews for the custard and the italian hill with its food. St. Louis is an awesome city to visit.

We did all that on our trip down there.

It is Forest Park, not Washington Park. Washington Park is a city near East St. Louis with many adult night clubs. Maybe you visited more places than you let on?

    Re: Going to St Louis

I really like Fortel's Pizza. There are a number of those in town. If you have kids you need to check out the Magic House and City Museum. The old train depot near Busch has lots of great stuff. You can also tour Anheiser Busch and get free beer. Forest Park has great golf at a reasonable price. (don't go to Gateway golf) You can get some history on a Fairy boat ride on the Mississippi. There are dirt track races in Granite City on Friday night and Peveley (owned by Kenny Schrader) on Saturday night.

    Re: Going to St Louis

Rigazzi's on "the hill" is the classic Italian restaurant/bar in the city. Not pricey but great Italian food. I was visiting with Jamie Pollard about his days at SLU as ast. AD and the first thing he asked was if Rigazzi's was still the same and that it was his favorite place. It is the oldest continuous family owned operation in the city. If you want to experience how it was and still should be, check it out!
