I agree. Kid sounds solid. I'm even more pumped about him now. Come on NCAA, throw us a bone here, really hoping he is able to play this year.

Int - "(Coach Hoiberg) ... what have you heard about him... your relationship with him so far?"

RW - "Everything I've heard is golden ... I love him, he's a good dude"

    - Don't know why, but I love that quote.

    Re: R. White Video

I know his primary major is NBA, but a secondary major of music? Interesting, ISU is not exactly noted nationally for its music department although, through my personal experience back in high school, it's pretty solid. How CFH landed a music major at ISU is beyond my understanding, but I'm so happy he did.

Juilliard didn't have any schollies left....

You're right - the kid is here to get some time and exposure and punch his ticket to the next level. But it's nice to see he is choosing something with an interest (ie, will take it seriously) and not just something to fill his time and stay eligible.

After I heard that comment about a combined Paul Pierce and KG type of player, I forgot everything else he said!

Very true. In fact I think ISU has the smallest budget for the music dept in the Big 12.

However, the instructors and environment in Music Hall is second to none. A lot of really good people teaching in that department. Everyone from the office staff to the department head are just good people. I'd be interested to know if he visited with any of the music staff when he visited. They have an amazing ability to make everyone who's interested in anything from an ensemble to a major feel welcomed.

For those interested here's the 4 year plan for the degree I'm sure he'd probably pursue. It'd probably be a BA of arts in Music. If he goes for a BA in Music I will drop my jaw. Can't imagine an athlete having time to go after that.

I'm a little confused here. Isn't a BA a Bachelor of Arts degree? Thus BA of arts in Music vs. BA in Music has me confused. Maybe there is a Bachelor of Music or something??

There's a B.A. in Music, and two different Bachelor of Music offerings.
