    Marquis Hamilton....

Did anyone see Marquis playing on Saturday??? Dropped a would be TD, I hope he makes that team, not really that far off of a Sidney Rice....

I was looking for him the whole game and didn't see him in.

I love Hamilton but that statement is absurd. Sidney Rice is one of the most athletic players in the league. Larry Fitzgerald works out with him and has made many comments about how he wishes he had Rice's athletic ability.

He is FAR from Sidney Rice. It isn't even comparable. Rice can jump out of the stadium and is a ton faster out of cuts than Marquis.

I thought this as well. I love Marquis and hope the best for him but to say an undrafted FA is on par with a former 2nd round pick.....thats a bit of a stretch no matter how much kool aid you've been drinking.

I think it would be possible for Marquis to make a team. He has the height, size, and hands.

But a really fast left tackle though, right?

There have been a lot of great speed guys suck at WR and a lot of all-pro guys that werent that fast. If he is in the places he's supposed to be in and catches balls, he can stick around.

Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving.

Hummm…why does any team even waist draft picks or money on WR's then? Shouldn't they just put all their resources in an excellent QB since it appears the QB can simply make any WR into an all-pro receiver?

I actually kind of agree with this. There's no sense in spending a ton of money on WR's if you don't have a QB that can get them the ball. Would Jerry Rice still have been Jerry Rice if he had Trent Edwards as his QB for half of his career?

I seen the play. If the QB would have thrown the ball towards the back of the endzone it would have been a TD. He under threw the ball forcing Marquis to slow down letting the defenders catch up.

Agree to some extent...Rice finally had someone that could throw the deep ball...TJ's deep ball is terrible.

Favre throws a great deep ball so I agree, but I think Rice's athletic ability would shine if he had any QB that throws a good deep ball.

As far as Hamilton goes, I think he's a long shot to make the Vikes...they have a lot of good young receivers and dropping a TD isn't going to help his cause...
