Spent last two nights at UT open practices

First night was basically standard drills in shorts - nothing standing out.

Second night was full pads. Gilbert is looking spot on - definitely passing like it's on a string. Former qb Chiles - # 5 - now wr - pulled off a great 15 yard reverse pass - wicked play and he was spot on, too.

D- Ends looked tough, lots of qb penetration, secondary looked tough, but linebacking corps somehow left me feeling like they weren't all world - I can see some dink and dunk action working on them and if a run breaks past the line it could go for 10.

I am no fb wizard and it's obviously just practice, but UT is looking tough, but with weaknesses. I don't, however, think qb is one of those, unless their line sucks. It'll be interesting to see him on gameday - and they better get a run game 'cuz this is a pocket guy. If he can pick apart a 'D' with time, it's along day for opponents, but if he gets rattled or has a lot of scrambling, they have some issues..

Here's to Wally and our D figuring out a way to get to him!! Go 'Clones!!

I think the obvious loss for Texas is against Iowa State

    Thanks for the scouting report.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

I for one will be the biggest Longhorn fan in the country when they play Nebraska. God, I hope they crush them.

I'm hoping for a scoreless tie.

I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others.
