Chris Colvin of Ames, IA discovers Pulsar

Slashdot Science Story | First Pulsar Discovery By an @Home Project

Not the Chris that we all know and love... but it was cool to run across an article on Slashdot that mentioned some people from Ames discovering something! Props to Chris and Helen.

They are some good die hard cyclones. Glad to see that they were able to do this.

I heard during the Project that Chris wasn't a team player with all the other scientists

He was allowed to stay on the project by the head scientist even though he said it went against all of his morals to allow him to stay. I guess his bold statements to Science Digest about "not allowing Chris to wear his pocket protector until he realized what a special opportunity it is to slip that in his pocket everyday" was just a bunch of talk.
