    Shoes with toes

I'm not a tri-athlete or anything, so forgive me if this is common knowledge, but has anyone ever used these things? lol.

Uhh, pass. Those look like those crappy "crocks" type of footwear. Only to be worn by many a tavern hawk...etc.. No thanks.

    Re: Shoes with toes

I have a pair. I use them for almost everything. They are great for running and going to the gym. I have use these to run miles without any issues. They are more comfortable to run in than shoes. I use them when I play ultimate frisbee. They might look goofy but they are great.

    Re: Shoes with toes

There are a ton of people I know of that use them.

They say they are great for runs less than about 5 miles or so. After that, the lack of padding gets to be a bit difficult to deal with.

    Re: Shoes with toes

I have them to for biking and hiking. They are also great for stream fishing as you can basically stand in the water and not worry about your shoes.

If you run in them, start out slowly. You will run with a different style than normal shoes. I went for a two mile run right after I got mine. My left calf was cramped and sore for a month and a half.

These are not anywhere near as stupid as crocs.

Am I the only one that thinks they look like big foot shoes?

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I'm with ya. I thought they were fake at first....people are actually running in these? What happened to the standard running shoe?

Remember those slide on shoes that people wore at pool's? They had better grip, etc...for pool stuff. Those were pretty weird looking too. These are similar to those IMO.

Interesting with the stream fishing, hadn't thought about that.

    Re: Shoes with toes

I would probably like then if i got them as a gift. I love to go barefoot. I hate shoes, so maybe this would give me the feel of being barefoot while being protected. The price tag is a tough one for me however.

    Re: Shoes with toes

They are big in the "body building" circles for deadlifts and similar lifts. Gyms require shoes and those lifts are better preformed barefoot so this is a happy middle ground. I know when they first came out they sold like crazy and nobody could find them anywhere.

I also watched a story on "Real Sports" or something about running and how running shoes are horrible for you and how it is better to run barefoot if you can. They mentioned that these are fantastic running shoes.

    Re: Shoes with toes

I would be afraid to run in those. They look like they have no support. I'll stick with my asics.

How well do they breathe? Seems they would get gross pretty fast.

Apparently I've given out too much rep in the last 24 hours and I should try again later.
